Dr. Miles Varn, MD

Emergency & Family Medicine

Dr. Varn practices as an independent concierge physician. His career has been built at the intersection of urgent clinical judgment and private health navigation — the two things a family needs most at the hour when nobody is available.

He served as Chief Executive Officer of PinnacleCare, the national private health advisory firm, and as Chief Medical Officer of Sun Life U.S. following its acquisition of the company. In those roles he built relationships with leading medical centers and physicians worldwide, and created a virtual-consultation program that brought remote expertise from more than twenty-five top academic institutions directly to clients.

Before that he spent fifteen years in leadership at Inova Fairfax Hospital, a Level I trauma center, where he received the Inova Health System Service Excellence Legend Award for extraordinary patient care.
