There are moments in life that change the course of everything that follows. For Kim, that moment came when her son became ill.
Navigating his diagnosis meant experiencing firsthand how difficult it can be to identify the right care when the stakes are high. Finding the best path forward required more than locating a highly ranked hospital or a well-known physician. It required understanding who was truly leading the field—who was advancing the science, contributing to research, developing new approaches to treatment, and caring for patients with the most complex conditions.
What began as a deeply personal mission to find the best possible care for her son became a passion for helping others do the same.
Kim brings a clinical background in emergency medicine, along with specialized education in the biology of cancer, giving her a strong foundation for understanding complex diagnoses and the clinical considerations that can influence where—and with whom—a patient should seek care. This perspective allows her to look beyond a diagnosis alone and better understand the nuances that may matter when identifying the appropriate expertise.
Prior to founding Magellan Clinical Consultants, Kim was responsible for ensuring seamless white-glove healthcare navigation for one of the most prestigious firms in the United States. She successfully assisted thousands of individuals in receiving the appropriate outcome-based care, in their individual times of crisis.
Over the years, Kim has navigated more than 130 healthcare systems and, through this work, has developed meaningful, trusted relationships with physicians and clinical leaders at the forefront of medicine. Many are experts whose influence extends well beyond their individual practices—physicians whose research, innovation, and contributions to their specialties are helping shape the future of medicine.
These relationships, combined with Kim’s clinical knowledge, are at the heart of her approach to navigation. Finding the right expert is rarely as simple as matching a diagnosis to a name.
